The wild area of the garden

The meadows and the woodlands are home for hundreds of different species of plants. Some have been there for a long time, some derive from the recently cultivated plants. Earlier the meadows were used as pasture for creatures. In the eightteenth century an old road crossed our land, quite close to the sea. We know this because the famous biologist Carl Linnaeus has described his journey along the coast and you can still see some remnants of this road in the wood. In an even longer timespan our land was covered by the sea. This geological history has of course had an influence on the variety of plants you can find here.
