Highlights in June

We are so happy that the seeds we sowed a few years ago have resulted in a small flax-flowering meadow. And just as happy is the little Polyommatini. Linen is a material made from flux that has been used since the Stone Age, and flax is one of our most natural and oldest textile fibers. It is the stalk and roots that contain the fibers that can then be produced into linen. This is just one example of the variety of useful plants that constantly make themselves known to us. June has just been a lovely flowering month. The Orchids have also been more numerous than usual.
